David Heijnen is the founder and owner of MEAN Management, an artist management agency dedicated to guiding and supporting musicians throughout their careers. With a deep passion for music and a distinctly personal approach, David stands out in the music industry as a manager who truly invests in his artists, not just professionally, but as people.

Before founding MEAN, David gained valuable experience at V2 Records and Bertus Distribution, where he worked across marketing, label management, product management and campaign strategy. He developed and executed impactful release campaigns and represented labels such as AWAL, Cooking Vinyl, Daptone, Domino, Drag City, earMusic, and Nettwerk Music Group. This background gives him a deep understanding of both the creative and commercial sides of the industry.

Through MEAN Management, he helps artists grow with purpose, supporting both their careers and their well-being. His work is grounded in strong, collaborative relationships built on trust, artistic freedom, and open communication. He believes that real growth happens when creativity is nurtured, and artists feel truly supported.

What sets David apart is his background as a mental health coach, which brings a valuable and rare dimension to his work. This experience allows him to support artists not only strategically, but emotionally and psychologically, helping them navigate the challenges of the creative industry with resilience, clarity, and authenticity.
